Safari trips in Kenya are infamous, being the most diverse and most unusual of all the African countries. Kenya has it all… great mountains, valley lakes, towering espcarpments, flamingo flooded phenomenons, wild savannah plains home to the largest migration in the planet, African animals in all corners of the country, bleak deserts where they say are the birthplace of mankind, desert lake, gushing rivers, lush highland coffee plantations, tropical coastline, arid coastline, deserted islands, luxury islands….

Depending on your budget and your desire Kenyaways can arrange the appropriate safari during your stay. Kenya has a vaste range of Game Parks on offer, some near, some far, but all accesible from Kenyaway Kite village B&B hotel and restaurant. We recommend you visit the Kenya wildlife service website to get a feel of where you would like to visit and what animals you would like to see.

Kenya is a big country and travel can be lengthy so you can take advantage of those wildlife areas convenient to Diani Beach and Kenyaways hotel in Kenya. Closest to Diani Beach is The Shimba Hills National Game Reserve and Mwalunganje Elephant Sanctuary. These are about a 40 minute drive away and whilst they don’t offer the ‘Big 5′ you are sure to experience a taste of African bush life and if you’re lucky spot some elephants or giraffe or some antelope. Perfect for a short day trip.

About 4 hours drive away is Tsavo East National Park which not only offers the ‘Big 5′ but also an insight into some of Kenya’s beautiful arid landscapes with a real ‘safari’ feel. Also you can visit in the same trip Tsavo West and Amboseli National Park where you can see the towering Mt. Kilimanjaro near the Tanzanian border.

A 2 hours flight away is the infamous Masai Mara Game Reserve, whilst this might stretch your budget it is a trip of a lifetime and a never to be forgotten adventure.

Different options of accomodation and travel routes are available for all of these safari’s. Please get in touch if you would like any further information.
