Getting There & Around
Kenyaways Kite Village is located on Galu Beach, which is the central part of three stretches of 7km beaches that make up the 25 kilometres of Diani Beach. The beach is extremely clean and quiet, away from the hassle of the larger hotels situated further north. The area itself is considered an extremely safe and friendly environment. DIRECTIONS: when you reach the beach road junction turn right or South towards Neptune Hotel. We are located 7.2km from the junction on the left. There is no signboard but you can recognise it by the name Kennaway.

Medical Information
Please consult with your travel doctor before leaving for Kenya. We recommend for all of our clients to ensure they have had the appropriate vaccinations. Malaria precautions are advised and can easily be done by using repellent. Kenyaways provides mosquito nets and the rooms are sprayed frequently. Malaria has a 2 week incubation period which means you can still have it after you get back home, therefore diagnosing the symtoms is very important to treat malaria: headache, backache, fever, nausea, vomiting.
Please ensure you have taken out travel insurance before leaving. The Diani Beach Hospital is located approx 12km (10 minutes) from Kenyaways and is of a high standard providing all the necessary medical facilities.
What to bring
Packing light is the key to success when travelling to the Kenyan coast. The summer months (December, January & February) reach highs of 30-35C, where as the winter months (May June July) bring a few showers – however rarely fall below 20C. One or two pairs of light long trousers for the evenings will suffice. Swimwear and light t-shirts are recommended for the day time. Guests are advised to bring sun block and mosquito repellent.
